Purpose of the Program

To teach the installation, maintenance and assembly rules of Ex Equipment to the technical team working in explosive atmospheres, to explain the explosive atmosphere methodology, to reinforce it with applications, and to provide the necessary technical information.

 

 

Training Content / Training Duration (2 Days)

  • ATEX directives, explosive atmospheres legislation and obligations
  • Dynamics of ATEX explosions, understanding of hazards
  • Places where explosive atmosphere may occur, the permanence of this environment and determination of zones
  • Selection and assembly of equipment to be used in explosive atmospheres
  • Repair, maintenance and operation of equipment used in explosive atmospheres
  • Basic requirements of electrical equipment operating in hazardous areas
  • “d” type protection, “e” type protection “i” type protection, “p” type protection, “o” type protection, “m” type protection, “n” type protection, other protection types
  • Non-electrical equipment “h” type protection, “c” type protection, “b” type protection, “k” type protection
  • Ex - rules for the design, selection and assembly of electrical installations
  • Control and reporting during assembly
  • Issues to be considered in repair and maintenance
  • Periodic maintenance techniques and reporting
  • Field application examples (application is made on the 2nd day)
  • Testing and evaluation

Certificate

"Ex Equipment Maintenance and Installation Training" success certificate is issued according to the article "IEC 60079-17/B.2.2 Operator / technician (inspection and maintenance)" for the participants who are successful after the training by making theoretical and applied measurement-evaluation.

Program Output

It will be ensured that the Ex equipment is selected according to the relevant dangerous zone (Zone 0, Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 20, Zone 21, Zone 22) class, can be mounted in accordance with the protection type, and periodic maintenance rules are taught.

Who Can Participate in the Program

 In addition to the technical team performing the electrical installation and the personnel performing the mechanical maintenance, other interested participants can also be included in the program. There are no prerequisites for participation in the program.
